![]() Solution Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox ESR version 91.9 or later. (CVE-2022-29917) Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-29912) - Mozilla developers Andrew McCreight, Gabriele Svelto, Tom Ritter and the Mozilla Fuzzing Team reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 99 and Firefox ESR 91.8. (CVE-2022-29911) - Requests initiated through reader mode did not properly omit cookies with a SameSite attribute. (CVE-2022-29916) - Firefox did not properly protect against top-level navigations for an iframe sandbox with a policy relaxed through a keyword like allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation. This could have been used to probe the browser history. (CVE-2022-29909) - Firefox behaved slightly differently for already known resources when loading CSS resources involving CSS variables. Hey everyone, Mozilla has released fixes for several high-severity vulnerabilities in Firefox 101 and Firefox ESR 91.10. (CVE-2022-29914) - Documents in deeply-nested cross-origin browsing contexts could have obtained permissions granted to the top-level origin, bypassing the existing prompt and wrongfully inheriting the top-level permissions. When reusing existing popups Firefox would have allowed them to cover the fullscreen notification UI, which could have enabled browser spoofing attacks. ![]() It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2022-17 advisory. Description The version of Firefox ESR installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 91.9. But since PCs/phones are usually designed to have black=0 and white=255, you need to do some conversion before displaying a video that was encoded with the limited range.Synopsis A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities. By encoding black=16 and white=235, you ensure those artifacts will remain within the 0-255 range, so you avoid clipping when converting digital to analog and back again. is proud to announce the release of Mozilla Firefox ESR, Portable Edition 91.5.0.It's the Extended Support Release of the popular Mozilla Firefox web browser bundled with a Launcher as a portable app It is intended for groups who deploy and maintain the desktop environment in large organizations such as universities and other schools, county or city. If you convert a black-and-white checkerboard pattern to a bandwidth-limited analog signal, you'll always get some ringing artifacts (because a perfect square wave requires infinite bandwidth and is impossible). You're right that it's unrelated to HDR - I think the 16-235 issue comes from the 1990s (or maybe earlier?) when TV people converted video signals between analog and digital. ![]() I assume this is, so it was the opposite problem: limited-range videos (which are the most common on the web) were displayed correctly, by stretching them from their 16-235 range to the 0-255 range that the rest of the rendering pipeline uses, but full-range videos were also stretched and became oversaturated. Movies and broadcast shows are usually encoded in limited range to be played as is on consumer devices, does this mean that all this time, colors were washed out when videos were played on Firefox?
